2023 Tenzing: This time frame is when I started experimenting with film, animation, and other things. Below covers a wide range of time, and I believe you’ll see a pretty decent progression of little Tenzing’s work across different video mediums during that window. Along with each video, I’ll provide some commentary on this page, as well as perhaps some bonus imagery should I find any. Enjoy 🙂
Coming up!
The LEGO Death Star (2014 – Stop Action LEGO), The Chase (2015 – Stop Action Live Action), The Buggy (2016 – Stop Action), SPYDER: Infiltration (2016 Whiteboard Animation), NTOSD: Chase Mission (2017 – Whiteboard Animation), The Chase 2 (2017 – Live Action), The Thief (2017 – Live Action),You Wouldn’t Step on Legos (2017 – Lego Stop Action) Cheap Plastic (2018 – Live Action Infomercial)
The LEGO Death Star (2014)
A true classic. Special thanks to the grandparents who essentially carried this entire project, done for my second grade science fair, so around 2014 or so! This took quite awhile, we couldn’t just build the Death Star, but we had to take photos of each. Piece. Moving. Individually. Took a couple months I believe.
The Chase (2015)
Another Stop-Action Made w/ help and ideas from mon grandpere, as most of my films were and still are.
The Buggy – (2016)(?)
A short animation that took about an hour to make while visiting my mother, who made the car fly. I don’t know the year, but it must have been somewhere around 2016ish, as it was before the Chase 2… The song is Bird That Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap by Toby Fox.
SPYDER: Infiltration (2016) + NTOSD: Chase Mission (2017)
Mostly animated during the same visit that yielded The Buggy, SPYDER: Infiltration was my first animation with voice over in it I believe. I really came up with a grand plot for this one and I really think it kinda holds up fairly decently. IF ONLY THE CORRECT RESOLUTION WAS PRESERVED. RAAAH. Maybe I’ll remake it someday to give you guys the full frame…
As for NTOSD: Chase Mission, (which stands for National Team of Spy Defense, by the way) it seems as if I had garnered a knack for chase scenes. I made this over a few afternoons and think its some of my best whiteboard animations. The parkour action was based on my love for the game Mirrors Edge, which I had around that time torrented for my ol’ laptop (rest its soul). (Hard to believe I found that game so long ago!) Also the Megaman X4 Intro Stage was of course included to showcase my love of Megaman X, which showed on my Youtube Channel that I would soon make, and fill with Megaman Let’s Plays…
The two last animations were of course, a shared universe, something that I intended to build on, and even teased with those mysterious characters, but never expanded upon. (Yet…)
The Chase 2 (2017)
I’ve got quite a bit to say about this one…
Now in 5th Grade, it was time for my biggest project yet. With my grandpa arranging logistics (the hardest part of filmmaking), a few of my friends were able to come over for filming The Chase 2, in which Shark T-Shirt Wyatt is secretly plotting something villainous involving a piece of bread. Special thanks for my other friends Elijah, Zion, and my sister, Iyska for starring, and my grandmother for cutting open a piece of bread. This film was edited in Windows Movie Maker by yours truly. Goodness the dated editing software really shows, but it was good to learn on.
I still remember premiering this film in my 5th grade class… Hey Mrs. Taylor if you’ve still bookmarked this site, I remember you! Also, The Chase 3 was supposed to come into existance, but we never ended up finishing that one… maybe I’ll post what we did capture someday, but as it is now, no more chase scenes! (BUT! While you’re here! Here’s a secret re-scored edit of the Chase 2 made by mon grandpere…)
The Thief (2017)
The last film I ever did with my friend Wyatt. We had to rush the ending because he had to go to Scouts or something like that. Either way, it was a fun time, especially those teleport balls.
You Wouldn’t Step on Legos (2017)
A fun little Lego Animation made in about an hour. An hour for a thirty second clip? Unbelievable… No other commentary for this one, other than that I didn’t upload it to YouTube until 2019, and thus the upload date is quite incorrect.
Cheap Plastic (2018)
This infomercial spoof was made in a couple hours one afternoon as a skit to go into one of my MegaMan Zero 2 Let’s Plays. (This one actually, but don’t watch it there!)
Some commentary to do with aggressive marketing or something.
You can actually still buy Cheap Plastic by clicking this link!
And that ends this era. Or, I just stopped counting it here… T’was a good era!
Hello, this is a comment. Woooo.
